A mini-stay is where another family on another region of Denmark chooses to take you as a member of their family for a week and you learn different way of living. This is a very helpful way to experience more during the exchange. Everyone gets to do this although the dates are different for everyone.
I am half way through my mini-stay with the Korsgaard Family. They are very nice people and have a lot in common with our family, meaning the Shriver/Foster family. I like that they are very interested and seem to like the USA. My temporary "mor" is a flight attendant and travels all over the world and loves picking up food... maybe, I made up the food part, but when I got here they had a large container of Jif peanut butter, chunky. I love Jif, and I have had quite a few sandwiches.
I went to school with both of my temporary siblings so far. It was a lot of fun today to go with Amanda where I saw what a lower level school is like, 9th grade. I talked with a lot of the students and also got to teach a lesson for another class instead of going to German class. Mathias's class was also good but it is more what I am used to here. I didn't talk with any of the kids in his class, thats what happens when people get older I think.
We have big plans for the weekend which I am excited for. Possibly going to a movie theater or swimming pool. I am also going to København ( dansk (danish for danish) for Copenhagen)! I will post again before I leave. There is also a Miami Hockey game airing live online at 11pm my time on Saturday which I am really excited for. I am so happy here! Whoo Hoo! They are really really nice!!!
